New laws to tackle distracted driving

New laws will be introduced on 25th March 2022 to tackle distracted driving. The new law will ban drivers from using their phones to take photos/videos as well as scrolling through playlists or playing games.

Any offenders caught will face up to a £200 fixed penalty notice and six points on their licence.

Why not remove the distraction completely by using a Defender Signal Blocker? Out of sight, out of mind!

Rise in relay theft!

Keyless car crime is still making the news and featured on BBC's Morning Live on Friday (21/01/22). Placing a car key fob in a faraday pouch stops the key fob from emitting the signal that allows criminals to boost (relay) the signal and unlock the vehicle without the key!

Last year the NPCC reported an increase in car crime in May and June, with the bulk of the increase coming from relay theft. See article here.

We stock both the Defender Signal Blocker and Defender Signal Blocker Mini! Both perfect for car keys. The original Defender Signal Blocker is larger than the Mini, as it's also able to store a mobile phone.  Both are suitable for branding. Contact your account manager for more information.
