If a business or organisation uses a CCTV system, they must display a legally-appropriate warning sign to warn people that a CCTV system is in use. This is in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Home owners and private users are exempt from this rule. We have a selection of CCTV warning signs and stickers that can be installed on a fence or wall or placed in a window to warn people that the property is protected by CCTV. Displaying a warning sign can act as an additional deterrent for would-be intruders.
